Four players fined after the clash between Gobert and Turner

The NBA has not been slow to impose the corresponding sanctions on the players who ended up sent off in the meeting between the Pacers and Jazz last Thursday. In it, Rudy Gobert and Myles Turner ended up entangled after the Frenchman dragged the Indiana player to the ground, prompting him to push him and causing both to be separated before the situation escalated.

This resulted in the expulsion of both from the party, although they were not the only ones, since Donovan Mitchell and Joe Ingles, whose intervention in the conflict was, in short, not very pacifying, also had to head to the changing rooms. Therefore, the league has chosen to fine all four players, although none of them have received a suspension.

The one who has come out the worst is Gobert, who, as the one who started the conflict, has been imposed a penalty of $ 35,000, while Turner will have to pay 25,000 for having caused the situation to escalate. Mitchell, meanwhile, has been fined $ 30,000 for “taunting and verbally provoking opponents,” and Ingles will have to pay $ 20,000 for “inappropriate contact with a referee,” which is the euphemism the NBA has used to count. that the Australian entered the brawl giving a push to the referee.
