Football: Castelnau-Le Crès stumbles in Lozère

The AFL created a first situation in the second minute with a header from George passing over after a good cross from Leroux. Castelnau reacted quickly but Pagès, who honored his first tenure in the Mendoise cages, came out well to manage the face to face with the Hérault striker.

Half time
: 1-0.
Arbitrator : M. Locicero.
Goal for Mende: Leroux (39th).

At the quarter of an hour of play, we find George who could have benefited from a penalty following a nice breakthrough in the area on his part. We will find George again on two occasions. First on a shot stopped by the goalkeeper (25th) then on a poorly adjusted lob (32nd). Castelnau will be dangerous on a free kick. Irigoyemborde, the captain, will indeed find the crossbar in the 37th minute.

And, two minutes later, following a cross from the left, Leroux recovers the ball and arms a superb shot which will lodge under the bar. Unstoppable for the goalkeeper and 1-0 at half-time for the locals.

The second half resumes timidly but it is the Castelcressois who get the first big situation.

After a superb cross from Turette, Bensaidi places a recovery just above the bar (58th).

In the last twenty minutes, Castelnau decides to take risks by raising his block. Leaving the AFL opportunities behind the defense with offensive situations. But between badly played blows or incredible misses, Mende can not make the break.

And is scared until the end of the match … But the essential is assured with the three points which are good in the standings. And thus calmly prepare the trip to Lunel who spent a “manita” in Lattes on Saturday evening (0-5).
