First Race in Mandalika, 6 Astra Honda Racers Determined to Be Proud of the Nation

ARIPITSTOP.COM – After 7 months since the second round of the 2021 Asia Talent Cup (ATC) which was held last April, the Astra Honda riders are now ready to compete again in the third round of the 2021 ATC which will be held for the first time at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara on this weekend (13-14/11). This third round is also a special moment because there are six young Indonesian racers who will fight to make the nation’s name proud in the country circuit.

These three young riders fostered by PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) have participated in the 2021 ATC since the first round (27-28/3) and the second round (3-4/4) at the Losail International Circuit, Qatar, namely Fadillah Arbi Aditama (16) , Herlian Dandi (15), Azryan Dheyo (16). Meanwhile, racer Herjun Atna Firdaus (17), who is undergoing a postoperative recovery process in both rounds, is now ready to accompany the other three riders to score achievements in the third round.

In the inaugural ATC race directly in front of the Indonesian people, this time the four AHM coaches will be accompanied by two Indonesian racers who will appear as wildcard ATC 2021 racers, namely Veda Ega Pratama (12) and also Reykat Yusuf Fadillah (13). The presence of these two potential youths assisted by Astra Honda Racing School strengthens Indonesia’s chances of making positive achievements at this ATC event.

The inaugural lap at the new circuit, the pride of the nation, is an encouragement for these young riders to give the best results. The positive record achieved in the first two rounds of ATC 2021 became their provision in scoring achievements in the final two rounds. Armed with 14 points pocketed by Herlian Dandi, he tries to consistently collect points and pursue the position of the 10 best riders standings.

“I am very happy to have the opportunity to race in Indonesia and to be one of the first riders to experience the new circuit in Mandalika, Indonesia. I will take full advantage of this extraordinary opportunity so that I can make proud achievements for Indonesia,” said Dandi.

On the same occasion, Fadillah Arbi was determined to score a podium which was delayed in the second round. At that time, Fadillah Arbi Aditama, who was in the second group throughout the race, was competing with 10 other riders for the third position. Unfortunately, he fell just before the end of the race. Now, he has a strong determination to start the race well and successfully reach the podium in this round.

“I can’t wait to get back to competing at ATC. I used the long break from the Qatar round for routine training, both on my own and with AHM. I want my performance at Mandalika to be satisfying, at least I can show the Indonesian people that the young generation of Indonesia can also achieve proud achievements in this Mandalika round,” said Arbi.

Herjun Atna Firdaus was also enthusiastic about giving his best performance in his first race at ATC 2021 after previously having to undergo post-operative recovery. His experience at ATC last season made him confident that he could deliver achievements at ATC this year. Meanwhile, Azryan Dheyo kept trying to score points in his third round at ATC.

“I want to be part of the glorious history of the first ATC race in this country by presenting the best achievements for Indonesia. All preparations have been done both physically, mentally and technically. We ask for the prayers and support of the Indonesian people so that we can score the best achievements in Mandalika,” said Herjun.

The third round of the 2021 ATC season will be held for the first time at Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Indonesia and will be held in two races on November 14, 2021 at 11:00 WIB and 15:00 WIB.
