Uzès basketball club organized at the Trintignant gymnasium its 1st stage of the season for its little children facing Pont-Saint-Esprit and Bellegarde. What a pleasure to see all these little basketball players evolve under the direction of Antonin, who led this plateau like a conductor. Adrien, Océane, Maeva and Justine led the workshops and allowed all the children to have fun. The morning ended with small matches. It was a very nice moment.
For their 2nd stage, the U9s went to St Victor-la-Coste. Salma, Adam, Nino, Clément, Romain, Diego and Ethan played well and won 2 games, against a small loss. Enzo found that these little charges had listened to the instructions.
The U13 girls for the 3rd time largely won their meeting dominating the match from start to finish. They secured a place in the pool of the Gard championship.
The men’s U17s did the same against Bellegarde. This group works and progresses over the weeks. Congratulations to them and good recovery to the two players (Romeo and Adrien) injured for a period of about 4 weeks.
In adults
For their 6th day of brewing, the U20M snatched a victory over the 67-74 wire against UBC Nîmes. Deprived of the team’s main coach, Alex was able to bring his experience as a coach in the U20 category that he appreciates so much, and give his possible to bring the team to victory which allows to stay in the race for the Occitanie. For their 5th day, the PRMs beat Les Vans 66-57 at home. You miss only one being and a whole collective is disorganized! 406 days after his last match, Benoît made his comeback (after a season hiatus due to Covid and a nasty tendon pain).
His return was a total success in a meeting that was always complicated and became a great classic of the PRM. He did what he has always done wonderfully: perfect ball management, chiseled passes to the two interiors who enjoyed themselves or even caviars for as many counter-attacks. He turned out to be the leader who had been so lacking since the goal of the season for a ducal team which today occupies third place in the standings.
