On Thursday, the ATP officially published the program for the 2022 season until Wimbledon, most tournaments regaining their traditional place, that of before the coronavirus pandemic which had changed everything in March 2020. Postponed this year to the month of ‘Last October, the Indian Wells Masters 1000 thus found its usual benchmarks and will be launched on March 10 before that of Miami on the 23rd. Only the ATP 250 in Doha, which traditionally opened the season, has been moved to February 14 ( week 7), just before Dubai ATP 500 in the Arabian Peninsula.
As the Australian Open announced on Wednesday, the ATP Cup will kick off the season in Sydney on January 1. In parallel, two ATP 250 will take place in Adelaide and Melbourne. Then two more ATP 250s (Adelaide 2, Sydney) will be on the program for the second week, before the Australian Open (January 17-30) is launched. Roland Garros and Wimbledon will be launched on May 22 and June 27, respectively.
