Omar Cruz won the gold medal in the +100 kilograms after beating the Argentine Joaquín Alejo in the final, the sixth golden metal for Cuban judokas in Cali.
Thalía Nariño defeated the Dominican Yeilin Murillo by ippon and climbed to the top of the podium at +78 kilograms, becoming the fifth gold medalist of the Cuban delegation at the I Pan American Games in Cali-Valle 2021.
Silver medal was obtained by judoka Sirguéis Rodríguez in the 90 kg in the Junior Pan American Games of # Cali2021. Idelannis Gómez reached the same prize of 70 kilograms, when he fell in the final against the Brazilian Luana Oliveira by waza-ari.
