DeRozan breaks Jordan’s franchise record in Chicago

Chicago Bulls superstar DeMar DeRozan is doing great things in his first year with the Illinois franchise, aiming to take it to new heights this year. The 32-year-old’s arrival in Windy City brought nothing but great energy, helping the Bulls reach the top half of the Eastern Conference. And now DeRozan has just broken a record with Chicago that has belonged to none other than Michael Jordan for the past three decades in the NBA.

DeRozan was once again busy making baskets Sunday night at home against the New York Knicks. The four-time All-Star has once again led the way for his new team that has now placed him at the top of the franchise’s record book as the player with the most points in his first 16 games in Chicago to 425. and surpassing MJ’s 424 who made them in his 84-85 rookie season, as reported by NBA Central:

For Chicago Bulls NBA star DeMar DeRozan, being in the same sentence as Michael Jordan has to be something special. Especially when it comes to the Chicago Bulls. We are sure that last night he went to sleep very happy. But in Windy City they are not satisfied because this is only the beginning. Now he will have to keep the premises made.
