DEN HAM – The Hammerdammer had to compete against Enschede 1 in the first match of the provincial competition.
G. Mollink played against G.Schirinza and in a nice match in which it went on for a long time, Mollink had to acknowledge his superiority in the second half and lost 0-2.
In his match against H. Borgman, Bvd also did not reach his normal evasion and therefore played a lost match 0-2.
J. Arrindell and J. Schoo made it a very exciting game in which neither of them gave in, and so a draw came closer and closer, but Schoo needed so much time to think that the flag fell and so the win went to Arrindell 2- 0.
H. Braakman played a very solid match against Bvd, and gave the opponent no chance and won 2-0.
E. Stokvis and J. Wilbink also made it an exciting match in which Wilbink took the reins more and more, and eventually won the match 0-2.
J.Braakman played a very good match against L. Ludwig and even got one piece ahead, but due to a small miscalculation in which Ludwig crawled behind a piece of Braakman and thus managed to get a king, the game suddenly turned upside down and brought it Ludwig’s win 0-2.
Because of these results, Enschede went back with an 8-4 victory.
Two more matches were also played in the mutual competition, namely H.Koenderink against J. Kooman 2-0, and D. Voort against G. Endeman 2-0.
