Barça has held its place. Opposed to Dynamo Kiev in the context of the fourth day of the group stage of the Champions League, FC Barcelona hardly beat Dynamo Kiev 1 goal to 0 thanks to a splendid achievement by Ansu Fati in the 70th minute of play .

Logically presented as the favorites after their narrow success in the first leg (1-0), players Sergi Barjuan quickly took matters into their own hands in a meeting that nevertheless looked like a trap. After a very early first attempt by Memphis Depay (3rd), Ansu Fati also involved Georgi Bushchan in the quarter of an hour of play without however managing to deceive the vigilance of the Ukrainian goalkeeper.

Rarely worried by blue and white attackers too regularly trapped offside, the Blaugrana will then step up their offensives and get three new hot situations through Lenglet (31st), Gonzalez (42nd) and Depay (44th) ). Overall dominating, but not sharp enough offensively, Sergio Busquets’ teammates restarted the second period at the same pace and thought they would benefit from a penalty following an imaginary foul by Kedziora on Ansu Fati (64th).

Penalty refused and return of Dembélé

Finally deprived of the penalty by Mr. Ovidiu Hategan after consulting the VAR, Barça then relied on the talent of his young prodigy Ansu Fati who opened the scoring magnificently five minutes later with a splendid strike under the crossbar (69th). Launched towards a precious second consecutive success in this Champions League, the Blaugrana were nevertheless going to suffer the timid revolt of the players of Mircea Lucescu in an end of the match where only the ghost Ousmane Dembélé managed to sow a little trouble in the Ukrainian defense.

Already involved in the hour of play by Karavaev (57th), Ter Stegen again had to ward off the danger on vicious attempts by Sydorchuk (73rd) and Tsygankov (81st). Saved by his goalkeeper and by the lack of realism of Serhiy Sydorchuk’s teammates, FC Barcelona could breathe because Dynamo Kiev had just burned its last cartridges. Again winners on the smallest of the margins of their confrontation with the leader of the Ukrainian championship, the Catalans achieved a very good accounting operation and moved up to second place in Group E with 6 points.
