Cameron Jordan said Tom Brady is not the best quarterback ever

According to a New Orleans Saints star, Tom Brady is not the best ever.

Cameron Jordan, who has faced Brady the past two seasons as a division rival, was interviewed on Full Bodied with Channing Frye Friday, November 5. Of course the eleven-season veteran made headlines with his comments about Brady.

While discussing the greatest player in NFL history, Jordan dismissed the idea that the Los Angeles quarterback Tampa Bay Buccaneers be the best ever due to his lack of physical condition.

“He’s surely the most successful NFL player ever,” Jordan said. “When I think of the best of all, I think of Deion Sanders. I think speaking of fitness I think of players like Megatron (Calvin Johnson), AP (Adrian Peterson), Bo Jackson. When you see those guys playing they make us react, ‘come on, come on’.

The 32-year veteran obviously recognizes Brady’s extensive resume – which includes very important records and seven Super Bowls– but he can’t recognize Brady, or any other quarterback, as the best ever.

In fact, he even criticized the player of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ben Roethlisberger, after dismissing Brady as the best ever.

“I don’t think quarterbacks can be considered the best ever, because… Look at Ben Roethlisberger’s fitness. You can get to the Hall of Fame without training, ”explains Jordan.

Fitness and greatness are two totally different themes

Jordan is entitled to your opinion. But being the best in history and having the best physical condition in history are two totally different issues.

When evaluating a player’s greatness, it’s not just his physical condition that counts – his achievements, the value he has to his team, and how he impacts the sport are also worth it.

If we talk about the best quarterback of all time just because of his physical condition, surely the former quarterback, Michael Vick, would be at the top of the list.

And as solid as his career was, let’s face it – no one is going to mention the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback in a discussion about the greatest player in history.

The Saints are giving Brady good stuff

Having said that, Jordan is not defusing the heated rivalry between the Saints and Buccaneers. New Orleans handed Tampa Bay its second loss of the season in week eight, beating Tampa Bay 36-27.

Although the Saints lost to the Bucs in the postseason divisional game, which was Drew Brees’ last game last January, New Orleans has dominated Tampa Bay since Brady debuted with the team.

The Saints have beaten the Buccaneers in all three regular season games they played so far, winning by a total of 108 to 53. Brady has thrown seven interceptions in those three games and only four touchdown passes.

Somehow, New Orleans have dominated Brady. We’ll see if Jordan’s words make the Saints pay when they face the Buccaneers in week fifteen.
