Brooklyn’s 5th success in a row

The Nets picked up their fifth straight NBA success on Sunday. Carried by a vengeful Kevin Durant on fate, Brooklyn won 116-103 in Toronto.

On June 10, 2019 with the Raptors, ‘KD’ ruptured his left Achilles tendon in Game 5 of a final that the Warriors would then lose. Since his return to the courts in December 2020, he had not yet turned back that of the Raptors, relocated to Florida last season due to the Covid-19.

Durant sparked for his return to cursed soil with 31 points scored (11/18 shooting), 7 assists and 7 rebounds (but also 7 stray balls). But this victory, the seventh in ten games for the Nets, also owes a lot to James Harden (28 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds).

The start of the season is more difficult for defending champion Milwaukee, tenth in the East with a record of 4-6 (the same as the Hawks of Clint Capela). The Bucks of Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered against Washington their second loss in a row (101-94), despite the 29 points and 18 rebounds of their Greek superstar.
