Arthur Repiquet, vice-world champion Deaf

JCB celebrates Arthur Repiquet and his two new medals …

This Wednesday, at the Verrerie gymnasium, members of the Judo Club Blanzynois celebrated Arthur Repiquet’s two new medals, won at the last Deaf World Championships in Versailles.


Throughout the day, the groups followed one another, the Mayor accompanied by several elected officials, the leaders, the members of the office,… to greet the champion and congratulate him.

As for Arthur, he took the time, he was present for all the groups until the evening to exchange and share these medals with the members of his favorite club.

Arthur therefore participated in the first world championships for the deaf and hard of hearing in Versailles, from October 27 to 30, 2021: thirty foreign delegations were represented and more than 220 athletes.

On Friday, he became vice-world champion after a great competition and a final where Arthur dominated. He led by 2 shidos before being surprised 20s from the end of the fight (Wazari!)

And on Saturday, he won the bronze medal for 3rd place in parajudo in the team tournament.

Aged 21, Arthur Repiquet, now a member of the AJBD 21-25 / Judo Club Blanzynois, continues his way to the top level. He has passed all the stages and is currently pursuing studies with a view to obtaining a DUEPP (a university degree in physical trainer)

Next meeting: the Deaflympics games in Brazil in December 2021.
