Nurdan Fencioğlu and Ebru Yurtoğlu Çağlayan, who are also GSİM Basketball Coaches, have a significant role in the considerable increase in the number of female basketball players in recent years.

Turkish Basketball Federation Erzurum Provincial Representative, Cem Culfa, said, “For a long time, there was almost no girls’ basketball in Erzurum, only girls’ teams were represented in school competitions,” and added that women’s participation in club-level tournaments and important organizations with more teams makes them happy.
Emphasizing that the lion’s share in this success belongs to female trainers Nurdan Fencioğlu and Ebru Yurtoğlu Çağlayan, experienced provincial representative Cem Culfa said, “Erzurum now has a stronger presence in women’s basketball under the leadership of Ebru and Nurdan in the infrastructure. This year, she officially made a show with the girls teams in the 3 July tournament, the 23 July tournament, the 29 October tournament, 2010 2011-2012.
