Bayern frustration – without quarantine Kimmich to BVB! Kahn grumbles – Bundesliga

With a Qatar hangover mood, FC Bayern goes into the cracker week …

Against Bielefeld it was enough for a lackluster 1-0. Boss Oliver Kahn (52) congratulated on the “dirty victory” in the dressing room. But before the Saturday blast in Dortmund, Bavaria has completely different worries.

► The Kimmich problem

Midfield boss Joshua Kimmich (26) has Corona, is also absent against BVB due to quarantine.

Coach Julian Nagelsmann (34): “It’s not nice – for us as well as for him.”

What this means for Bavaria is shown by these facts: Without Kimmich, Bavaria gets significantly fewer points (2.0 instead of 2.4 on average) and scores fewer goals (2.2 instead of 3.2 on average). He was most recently decisive against BVB, scoring the golden 1-0 in Dortmund in May 2020 and the 3-2 winning goal in the Supercup in September 2020.

► The silence of the Kahn

Internally and externally, one wonders how Kahn goes underground. He did not comment publicly on the corona vaccination crisis or the unsuccessful general meeting. Against Bielefeld he sat grumbling in the stands. When BILD spoke to him on the way to the cabin, he walked on without a word.

Only on Twitter was there a sign of life from Kahn yesterday: “Of course, the annual general meeting still occupies me a lot. Obviously, some of the emotions that will be important to me in the future have not arrived. (…) We will obtain the broadest possible opinion from our members about the Qatar Airways sponsorship.

► Allesmacher Nagelsmann

Julian Nagelsmann is currently doing much more than his coaching job. He explains all crises charmingly and confidently. And his advice to the bosses to seek dialogue was immediately implemented by President Hainer: The next day he called “opposition chief” Michael Ott and arranged a meeting with the critic from Upper Qatar!

In spite of everything, Nagelsmann also spreads confidence in sports: “At Bayern you’re always ready for top games!” BVB knows that too …
