Basketball – Bayreuth expects Alba in the BBL Cup: “Would have given easier tickets”

Bayreuth (SID) – The joy of the upcoming quarter-final duel with Alba Berlin was limited at medi Bayreuth. “There would have been easier tickets,” said trainer Raoul Korner after jumping into the next round of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) cup and the subsequent pairing draw at MagentaSport.

On November 13th or 14th, Upper Franconia, who knocked out Hamburg Towers in the round of 16 on Tuesday (93:84), will face the German champions at home. “I’m glad we got the home advantage,” said the Austrian Korner: “We saw what was possible with the fans in the hall. Hence the call to make the hall full for the game.”

Defending champion Bayern Munich have to play in the last eight at the Niners Chemnitz, which are still unbeaten in all competitions this season, the Löwen Braunschweig receive the Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt and the Hakro Merlins Crailsheim play against s.Oliver Würzburg.
