Basketball – Bayreuth defeated Kapfenberg Bulls – Sport

The 100th game of a Bayreuth basketball team in the European competitions was not nice, but exciting: On the fourth day of the Europe Cup, the Kapfenberg Bulls kept up with the guest appearance in the Oberfrankenhalle. Even without their ailing center Justin Briggs, the Styrians were tied until the end of the game. In the end, Bayreuth had the upper hand with 83:79 (46:38) and was able to achieve their third victory in the fourth game of the first group phase. “We couldn’t use our superiority under the basket because we hit badly from the outside,” said coach Raoul Korner. “That made the game extremely difficult. But what counts is victory.” The best throwers for Medi Bayreuth were Terry Allen (22 points) and Andreas Seiferth (15). Kevin Wohlrath (12) also knew how to convince on both sides of the field and once again recommended himself for more playing time.
