Bakery Basket Piacenza is defeated by the away match in Treviglio, valid for the eighth matchday of Serie A2: 95-71 the final score in favor of the hosts, who have dominated since the two-ball.
The appointment for the redemption is set for next Sunday at 18.00, against a direct competitor for salvation like Biella: it is mandatory for the boys of coach Campanella to reverse the negative trend, also driven by the cheering of the home crowd.
THE CHRONICLE
Coach Campanella ranks Bonacini, Raivio, Lucarelli, Donzelli and Morse while Michele Carrea relies on Potts, Rodriguez, Reati Sacchetti, Langston.
Treviglio starts with a rocket, which reaches + 10 in an amen, thanks to the triples of Crimes and Potts. The Bakery does not lose heart and relies on the men with the most points in their hands, namely Raivio and Morse, who mend downside; unfortunately Treviglio proves to be lethal from long range and whoever shoots finds the bottom of the retina; soon explained the 32-14 with which the first quarter ends.
Perin tries to play the charge with a triple; the captain, in this attempt to catch up with the hosts, is well supported by an inspired Daniel Donzelli but Treviglio immediately returns to the right tracks and puts together a series of choral actions that leave little room for the red and white comeback: a note of merit for the long American Langston who demonstrates, in addition to knowing how to score, to be able to dispense valuable assists for his teammates (9 in the end for him). Under the basket it is not the only Langston to create headaches for the Piacentina defense: Ian Lupusor is in fact good at finding various offensive solutions and easy supports for the basket (17 points at the end of the match). on the score of 55-29.
Upon returning from the locker rooms, the Bakery wants to try to get back into the game and scores an 8-0 run that is worth 55-37; part of the credit goes to an inspired Anthony Morse in the heart of the area, who struggles, conquers precious rebounds and turns several free shots from the line.
Unfortunately, however, the Bakery is the victim of a bad evening shooting (17/40 from 2 and 5/14 from 3) and despite fielding a different intensity from that of the first quarter, it fails to mend the 20 points of posting. Raivio tries, with his classic stop and shot from the media, but his efforts are not enough and Potts-Rodriguez-Langston continues to punish from every area of the field. In particular the play Rodriguez, who will close with 26 of evaluation, often finds the bottom of the retina from beyond the arc. The third set then ends at 72-53 for the hosts who confirm the gap gained in the first 20 minutes of play.
Last chance for the Bakery that with two bombs from Perin (10) and Donzelli (15) allow the red and white to return to under 20 points behind. Treviglio, however, finds offensive solutions from all players, including a D’almeida galvanized by the powerful dunk at the end of the third quarter; Piacenza really struggles to counter Treviglio, who find in a silent Sacchetti (11 for him, with a single error) a bulwark of experience and effectiveness on both sides of the field.
The game now has little to say and the Bakery cannot find the solutions to counter the 58% shot by Blu Basket Treviglio. The match ends at 95-71, with a victorious Treviglio on his own field.
