Argentine tennis player Sebastián Báez won the Challenger 80 title in Campinas last weekend after beating Brazilian Thiago Monteiro in the definition and, in this way, he got into the Top 100 of the ATP ranking. After the achievement, he spoke with the official website of the ATP.

“It is a very nice feeling to enter the Top100. I went up during the year, I felt it getting closer and closer and ending 2021 is the icing on the cake”Said Baez.
On the other hand, he commented on how it was to return from Next Gen Finals and to another surface: “For me, playing in powder is the most natural thing, Argentines grew up on these courts. I arrived in Brazil on Saturday and I had Saturday and Sunday to adapt and I was able to do it very well”, Affirmed Sebastián, and recognized that the confidence of playing good games at the highest level helped him to feel comfortable this week and to make it easier for him.
“I think it was not the goal to win so many games”, Joked the tennis player born in San Martín. “I started this year with my ranking No. 320 in the world, and the result of a lot of work over many years and being attentive to details, and my team helped me a lot and I hope I can continue to achieve goals with my coach”.
“ANow I want to have the excellence that the best have and I can still improve. But I feel like it’s good, because it means that the ceiling is high and every day I want to be better than the day before.”, Assured Báez with great enthusiasm.
To conclude, the 20-year-old tennis player expressed: “It is going to be something very nice to be able to play the ATP Tour. The difference is not so much in level, although all the rivals are difficult, but the level of the ATP Challenger Tour is very even as well.“.
