Alba Berlin struggled to make it into the quarter-finals of the basketball Bundesliga cup competition. The champions from the capital had the upper hand on Sunday against Telekom Baskets Bonn with 83:80 after extra time. The Berliners were able to take revenge for the lost game at the start of the league. The best thrower of the lot was Parker Jackson-Cartwright. But Bonn’s 26 points were not enough.
Also in the quarter-finals are s.Oliver Würzburg and the Fraport Skyliners. Würzburg won with 97:78 against the Syntainics MBC from Weißenfels. The decision was made in the first half. The main reason for this was the weak throwing rate of the guests. The Frankfurters surprised the EWE Baskets Oldenburg.
