The Parralense Adrián Mora, bronze medalist in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with the Mexican Soccer Team, was proclaimed the winner of the 2021 edition of the State Sports Award, upon receiving the vote in his favor from seven judges, recognizing and distinguishing his talent and the effort of the athlete, likewise, Miguel Ángel González, won the distinction as a coach with a perfect record of 10 points, in an event held this day in the Governor’s Hall of the Government Palace of the State of Chihuahua.
With the above, Adrián Mora, becomes the third athlete from Parralense to win the most important award given in the state to athletes and coaches, to join the minimum and select group to win this distinction, joining Vanessa Zambotti (Judo ); Misael Rodríguez (Boxing), as well as the coach, Professor José Andrés Martínez (Judo).
The Parralense footballer who works as a central defender, won the State Sports Award, after having been part of the Mexican team led by Jaime Lozano who won the bronze medal, after winning a match for third place in the squad of Japan by 3 goals by 1, where the jury selected the footballer with a total of seven votes in his favor.
Mora surpassed Andrés Olivas in the marching discipline, who achieved position 11 in the 20-kilometer event in the last Olympic Games, and swimmer Byanca Melisa Rodríguez, both in their debut in the highest sports event of the summer.
While unanimously the coach in the walking discipline, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, was credited with the award as the best coach, after having classified the athletes Horacio Nava Reza in the 50-kilometer walk and Andrés Olivas place number 11 in the 20-kilometer walk, a the Tokyo 2020 Games.
The award will be awarded on November 20 by the governor of the state, Maru Campos, which consists of a plaque and medal of recognition and a cash check of 55 thousand pesos, for each one.
NOTE: Adrián Mora, was declared the winner of the 2021 State Sports Prize, to become the third athlete from the Capital of the World to reach it, at good time and congratulations to the Parralense.
