Adam Mokoka, another French talent leaves the NBA to return to the country

WhileElie Okobo shines brightly this season with ASVEL, other French players seem to be thinking that a return home after difficult times in the NBA may be a viable option pending a comeback. Adam Mokoka, still in two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls not long ago and appeared in the G-League in 2021, signed Thursday with Nanterre.

Mokoka, 23 years old and 25 matches in the NBA since his American debut in 2019 (not drafted), arrives in Betclic Elite, five years after his debut under the colors of BCM Gravelines and two years after his last season in Europe, with the Serbian team of Mega Bemax.

Adam Mokoka was the full back of the 2016 European Champions in U18, with Frank Ntilikina and Sekou Doumbouya in particular.

Nanterre is currently 7th in Betclic Elite with 5 wins and 4 losses, quite far from the leader Boulogne-Levallois. The arrival of Mokoka, who scored 15 points in 2020 against the New Orleans Pelicans, his NBA record, could well boost the ambitions of the Ile-de-France club for the rest of the season.
