The pandemic caused in 2020 that a classic athletic event in Gijón was suspended. With more strength and enthusiasm, the popular cross “Villa de Gijón” now returns, reaching its 42nd edition and reaching 1,200 runners in 2019. The event, organized by the Fumeru club and the Gijón Sports Board, has already been busy more than half of the 900 numbers to compete (600 in the absolute test and 300 in lower categories).
