A new hope is born with the Bolivian participation in the Junior Pan American Games

With 58 athletes, Bolivia will participate in the first version of the Cali-Valle Junior Pan American Games, in Colombia, starting Thursday, November 25, which will mark the beginning of the athletes in their career to consecrate themselves and become the future of sport national.

“It will be the first international experience for some of the athletes, you can see the location they achieve and take this into account, since they will serve as a parameter to carry out the work from now on,” said Mario Quinteros, General Manager of the Bolivian Olympic Committee (COB).

The Bolivian team will compete in 22 disciplines for two weeks, which will be intense because “we must not forget that in these Games they compete against 41 countries at the level of the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela,” added Quinteros.

Without detracting from the efforts of the athletes and coaches of the other events, Bolivia will try to fight in athletics, road cycling, bicicross, tennis, swimming, beach volleyball, squash and fencing due to the successes they had at the South American level in previous sporting events.

“We have athletes with options to get marks. With these results in hand, it is necessary to follow up, provide support from the Government so that they continue to compete and complete the Olympic cycle in the best conditions, “said Quinteros.

Among the athletes who are in the front row to look for the podium are the long distance runner David Ninavia; the marcher Mayra Quispe; the cyclists Abigail Sarabia and Santiago Valda; fencers Sarah Endara and Carlos Chacón; Gabriel Tórrez and Vanesa Ríos in squash; Juan Carlos Prado in tennis; María José Galindo and María Isabel Chacón in beach volleyball; swimmers Valentina Aloiso and Esteban Núñez del Prado.

Meanwhile, there will be a Bolivian debut in speed and figure skating and skateboarding and skating, at the Pan American Games level. There will also be participation in badminton, boxing, gymnastics, karate, weight lifting, wrestling, modern pentathlon, taekwondo, table tennis, archery and triathlon.
