500 Drones Enliven the Festival of Lights at the Opening of the Papua National Park

JAYAPURA, KOMPAS.com – The Grand Committee (PB) of the XVI Papua National Paralympic Week (PB Peparnas) will use 500 drones for a light party in the opening ceremony of Peparnas, Friday (11/5/2021).

“This will be the first time this has been done, especially since these drones come from abroad,” said the Coordinator for the Opening and Closing Ceremony of PB Peparnas XVI Papua Mozes Maniagasi in Jayapura, Wednesday (3/11/2021).

In addition, there will be several artists who will appear in the opening ceremony of Peparnas XVI which will be held at the Mandala Jayapura Stadium.

“For the artists themselves, we will bring in Anggun and local artists,” said Mozes.

Carry the theme of light from the east

Deputy Chair II of Papua National Peparnas, Hans Hamadi, said that the theme of the opening ceremony of Peparnas was “Light from the East”.

During the event, the number of spectators will be limited due to the current Covid-19 pandemic.

“Invitations to the community are 1200 invitations,” he said.

For this reason, PB Peparnas and the Ministry of Communication and Information will try to make the activity broadcast live on several national television stations.

Especially in Jayapura, all existing videotrons will be used to broadcast the Peparnas opening ceremony live.

“Videotron in Jayapura will be turned on and broadcast the opening ceremony,” said Hans.
