Lolita Muzeya failed to become the fourth African world champion in one of the four major pro boxing federations (IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO), this Saturday, October 16 in Newcastle, England. The Zambian was severely beaten by England’s Savannah Marshall, WBO middleweight belt holder, after the referee was stopped at the end of the second round. This is Lolita Muzeya’s first loss in 17 professional fights. Still undefeated, Savannah Marshalll can focus on a possible unification fight against American superstar Claressa Shields, who holds the IBF, WBA and WBC middleweight belts.
