WTA Cluj-Napoca: US Open winner Emma Raducanu loses a crash against Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk

Kostyuk is number 55 in the world rankings. Previously, the 19-year-old Ukrainian had thrown the German Mona Barthel out of the tournament in the second round of the Transylvania Open.

After the victory in the US Open final over Leylah Fernandez, there was a real hype around Raducanu. In terms of sport, however, things have not been going well for the British since then. Most recently, the 18-year-old made headlines because she was publicly looking for a new coach.

She split from Andrew Richardson, who had led her to the biggest title of her career, after the US Open.
