Wow! Harry Kane also scores goals in the Premier League this season

Newcastle

Harry Kane has ended a goal drought in the Premier League this season. He scored his first goal when Tottenham Hotspur beat Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspur were able to beat Newcastle United 3-2 at St James Park in the 8th week of the Premier League match, Sunday (17/10/2021) night WIB. Three goals for The Lilywhites were born from Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. Meanwhile, The Magpies could only retaliate through Callum Wilson and Eric Dier’s suicide.

Harry Kane’s success in breaking into Newcastle’s goal in this match also made him end the goal drought in the Premier League. Previously, this 28-year-old striker’s faucet was clogged.

He failed to score in six Premier League games. Several parties considered that Kane’s sluggishness could not be separated from his desire to leave The Lilywhites which was not fulfilled by the club.

Kane was widely reported to want to leave Tottenham this summer. Manchester City is said to be the club that will become the port of the England striker. However, Tottenham owner Daniel Levy kept Kane at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, emphasized that this goal against Newcastle was very important for Kane. This is also proof of Kane’s commitment to Spurs.

“For all of us, the fans, team-mates and the club, it’s important for Harry to score goals,” Nuno told Sky Sport.

Even though he is in the Premier League, Harry Kane actually looks sharp in other competitions this season. He has scored a total of six goals in the UEFA Conference League and the English League Cup.

Kane’s success in helping Tottenham win over Newcastle helped bring the North London side up to fifth with 18 points. Tottenham have 15 points, four points behind Chelsea at the top.
