“With the offer of Indeportes, the Plaza de la Paz recovers life as the Plaza of sports and recreation”: Elsa Noguera

The governor of the Atlantic, Elsa Noguera, presented the sports and recreational offer of the Plaza de la Paz, which covers the entire week with morning and afternoon activities for all ages.

On the opening tour, the president was accompanied by great athletes from the Atlantic, who were recently crowned national and international champions.

Community participation is completely free, under the guidance of Indeportes Atlántico instructors.

With the presence of the governor of the Atlantic, Elsa Noguera, this Wednesday the Plaza de la Paz became the new Plaza of sports and recreation, where the president made a tour in the company of the director of Indeportes, Armando Segovia, athletes of the Atlantic , community and members of the departmental cabinet.

“We want to invite everyone to come and experience the Plaza de la Paz. We will have every morning from 5:15 to 6:30 and, in the afternoons, from 6:00 to 8:00 at night all the offer of Indeportes with the monitors and instructors, so that they register and can receive this training for free. In this way we generate spaces for healthy coexistence and the use of free time, “said the Governor.

The departmental president shared with the community and athletes the different activity stations programmed by Indeportes and that are part of the weekly offer. This is how the tour began with Capoeira, then Futness (physical activity with the ball) camping and chess; to finish with cheerleading, figure skating, children’s bike and musicalized physical activity.

“It is the starting point of this great project that our Governor wanted, to give a whole sporting life to the Plaza de la Paz, both in the morning and in the afternoon and at night, as well as on weekends. This is a privileged point in the whole heart of the city, the community is already enjoying it, “said the director of Indeportes, Armando Segovia.

The tour was attended by athletes who are part of the Indeportes “Supported Athlete” program such as: Julián Valencia de Boccia, Joan Manga (Para athletics); Néider Abello and Néiker Abello from athletics, Juan Pablo Ruiz from Judo and Angueline Miranda from Artistic Gymnastics, who took the opportunity to express their gratitude for being “Supported Athletes” of the Government of the Atlantic.

“Very happy with this initiative of the Government, through Indeportes, bringing opportunities to children, youth and adults. We are excited about everything that is being experienced in the Plaza de la Paz,” said Juan Pablo Ruiz, judoka from Atlántico and Colombia team classified to the Junior Pan American Games in Cali.

WEEK SCHEDULE

Once the socialization stage was completed, the weekly schedule of the Indeportes offer was as follows:

Futness: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm – Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 5:30 am to 6:30 am

Capoeira: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm

Cheerleading: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 pm and Saturdays from 2:30 to 4:30 pm

Rumba Physical Activity: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Saturdays from 6:15 to 8:00 am

Figure Skating: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:15 to 8:00 pm

As a complement to the daily activities, Indeportes will organize a monthly sports festival for the enjoyment of the Atlantic family in the great Sports and Recreation Plaza.
