Warriors star Stephen Curry and Miles Bridges named Charlotte Hornets’ Player of the Week

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Miles Bridges of the Charlotte Hornets have been named Western and Eastern Conference Player of the Week by the NBA. The league announced on Monday.

After the first five days of the new season, the first of the awards, which are given weekly over the entire season, are given to two players who have given their teams a flawless start to the season with strong performances. Both the Warriors and the Hornets each have three wins and no defeat – Charlotte even made a 3-0 start for the first time in franchise history.

Curry, who led the Association as the best scorer last season, had 31 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists per game in the first three games. The 33-year-old sank 43.5 percent of his field throw attempts and 38.9 percent of downtown. At the start of the season, the chef put on a triple-double and two double-doubles.

Bridges recently thrilled with two games with 30+ points in a row against the Nets and Cavs, so far he has put on an average of 25 points, 8 rebounds and 2.7 steals. His shooting splits in the first three games are 54.2 percent field throw rate, 44.4 percent three-way rate and 93.8 percent free throw rate.
