Is the triumph in the derby the biggest victory for you in the position of Sparta coach?
It’s an important win. I don’t think the biggest. I definitely appreciate the other matches we won. Of course, winning over Slavia is more interesting for everyone. I appreciate all the victories I have in Sparta. We continued the victory over the Rangers, now we have defeated Slavia. I’m glad it was very important for us to manage a difficult week.

I really appreciate it. Slavia is the only cuff that beat us twice in the spring, in the league and in the cup. She was clearly better in both matches, we pulled for a shorter end. I appreciate the victory and the position at the top of the table all the more now. If we didn’t manage the derby, the gap would be significantly larger and our situation much more complicated. Derby was very important for the development in the table. I think also for the development of our team, self-confidence and everything. They will all have to start taking us seriously.

You celebrated success with the same line-up as on Thursday against the Rangers. Were the instructions the same?
Yes, I warned the player that the derby would be a similar match to the Rangers. They were also strong on the ball. They also have great footballers like Slavia. We were waiting for the opportunity to come. We scored a goal and the course was similar. We created another chance with both the Rangers and Slavia. Unfortunately, we did not change them, so the result was very dramatic until the end. In the end, we played it very well and experienced. I think we deservedly won 1: 0.

In the transfer period, we were looking for players who will help us, mainly from the wings, quickly and in the things we want to play. Pešek and Lukáš confirm our right choice. When they score even more goals, it will be absolutely fantastic. This is the way to succeed not only in the Czech league, but also in foreign competitions. I have experience that if you have such players, then you can succeed. Today, the top teams are very well organized and without speed it is very difficult.
You got off to a good start. Aren’t you sorry that the national team break is coming now?
Just … When I was sitting in the office after the match, I told my colleagues that when I remember the last time we started after a re-pause, it wasn’t pleasant at all. I’m a little worried. I suspect that ten players will leave to fulfill their duties. It definitely interferes with the team and cooperation before the next matches that await us. I believe that the players will come in as good a mood as they are leaving for the meeting, and that we will build on how we ended the week.

How do you evaluate the situation in the foreground of the table now? Is we not forgetting Pilsen, which leads and has six English weeks less than you and Slavia in the autumn?
I certainly did not say that I do not count on Pilsen. She’s upstairs and we all know we’re losing her. On the other hand, we already have a match with Slavia behind us, while Pilsen is still waiting. Certainly one of them will lose again, which is advantageous for us. The table is already interestingly divided into three groups. The first five cachets will probably fight for first place. There are a lot of matches in the spring. We want to get the most advantageous position so that, in the superstructure with rivals, if possible, we have the advantage of the home environment, which is very important. I believe that we will play as many matches as possible at home, and also with the opponents who will fight with us for the highest places.
