At the initiative of the leaders of the Gerzat Gazelec Martial Arts Club, formerly known as the Gazelec Judo Club, and true to its values, the club will be the starting point, once a month, for the gathering of veteran judokas from Puy-de-Dôme .
It is a joint organization with the veteran commission of the Puy-de-Dôme committee. For this first meeting, about twenty judokas from CUC Stade Clermontois, Banque de France, Cébazat, ASM came. Under the leadership of Professor Philippe Coulon, 6 e dan, head of the veteran commission, the veterans were able to warm up, oppose, then compete in randoris, mixing technique, envy, and the glorious past of some in terms of competition.
Each month, this meeting will be organized while always hoping for a few more participants, the calendar being included in the program of the league of Auvergne. The martial arts club is planning next spring to organize a gathering of veterans of the entire Auvergne Rhône-Alpes league over a weekend.
