Vasek Pospisil has a date with Denis Shapovalov

Vasek Pospisil got off to a good start at the Indian Wells tennis tournament on Thursday in California, defeating American Jeffrey John Wolf in three sets of 6-4, 4-6 and 6-4.

The representative of the maple leaf, 68th in the world, managed the breakage in the second game of the first set. Wolf, 187th in the ATP standings having received an invitation, however replied in a beautiful way while his vis-à-vis served for the set.

Never mind, Pospisil decided a few minutes later with a second break to take control of this duel, after the American had leveled the mark.

But the last word went to the Canadian.

Pospisil will now have a big challenge in the second round as he will face none other than his compatriot Denis Shapovalov (ninth).

The two crossed swords three times on the ATP Tour, and “Shapo” had the upper hand twice.
