Washington has no more bile without Bradley Beal! The Wizards took the opportunity of Russell Westbrook’s departure during the offseason to rebalance their squad. “It was really a collective effort”, Kyle Kuzma confirmed after the meeting. “Spencer and I obviously had some great stats. But Raul Neto stepped in and played hard. Davis Bertans came out of his bad shooting streak and had some important shots for us, especially the extra time which was huge. Montrezl Harrell will always do “Trez”. We’re just having a great night, but we clearly have to be a lot better. 134 points collected is extremely high ”.
A luxury for Wes Unseld Jr
As Spencer Dinwiddie recalled, the presence of a healthy Bradley Beal will remain essential to the success of the Wizards this season. But for his coach Wes Unseld Jr, this depth and diversity in attack are a real luxury.
“We didn’t depend on one person. Obviously we were missing a lot of our attack, but the rest of the team displayed the right mentality to take over ”, he stressed. “It’s a huge asset. At times we have to navigate with 10, 11 guys playing. It is not easy. But knowing that you have this wealth and that if someone has fault issues or is having a bad day, you have another option, that’s a good problem to have ”.
From the Dinwiddie-Kuzma pair to Raul Neto via Davis Bertans, everyone has been full of confidence. Auspicious while waiting for the return of Bradley Beal, hoped by his coach on Monday evening for Washington’s trip to the Brooklyn floor.
