Saint-Pourçain-sur-Besbre. La Retraite Sportive is confident. The Retraite Sportive du Val de Besbre (RSVB) held its general assembly at the multipurpose hall.

The difficulties of associations linked to the health crisis have caused almost everywhere a drop in staff, but as Jeanine Jeanvoine, the president, said, “new memberships are coming”. The good attendance at this meeting demonstrates the dynamism of this association.

After the unanimous approval of the minutes of the 2020 general assembly, presented by the secretary, Marie-Françoise Martin, and of the financial report (stable financial situation) by Denise Beaujard, auditor, the president and the animators took stock of the association’s activities: dance, gym, awakening memory, archery, walks and hikes.

Note that following the resignation of Jean-Michel Deveaux, bike trips are suspended pending a new host.

The new president of the departmental committee, Philippe Pitalier listed the next departmental meetings. He hopes for the development of mutual aid between Sports Retreats, “which is important, in particular to compensate for the lack of volunteers to become leaders, a recurring problem for many associations”.

Fabrice Maridet, mayor of Saint-Pourçain-sur-Besbre confirmed that the work planned for the multipurpose room will undoubtedly prevent its use from April 2022.
