The majority of Germans do not reject the World Cup in Qatar

The upcoming soccer World Cup in Qatar has long been criticized. However, many football fans don’t care about human rights violations – they want the World Cup to take place.

Only a third of the respondents from Germany said that the tournament should not take place in Qatar due to human rights violations. Even fewer (23 percent) are in favor of a boycott of the World Cup by the DFB-Elf. And so the proportion of women in favor of boycotts in this country is still relatively high, as a glance at the graphic shows. The Americans and the Chinese are the least critical of Qatar.
