The long-awaited return | Total Basketball

The 2021/22 season of the Uruguayan Basketball League was launched in the Antel Tower.

Once again, the Idea Vilariño room made the initial leap to the season that will have its first game on the 24th of this month. The first thing that was known was that the tournament will bear the name of the centenary, both of Trouville and Aguada.

One of the novelties that the season presents is the return of the public, which was confirmed to be 40% of the capacity at the start of the contest.

The tournament will be played on two wheels of all against all, where the last two will lose the category. The first four will play a Super 4 and qualify directly for the play-offs. The teams from 5 to 12, will play play-in with a 1-0 advantage for the best classified, on the club’s pitch. The quarterfinals and semifinals will be on a neutral court to the best of five, without advantage, and the finals, to the best of seven at the Antel Arena.

Date 1 will have the crosses between Peñarol-Hebraica and Macabi, Defensor Sporting-Olivol Mundial, Urupan-Capitol, Malvín-Aguada, Trouville-Nacional, Biguá-Urunday Universitario and Olimpia-Goes.

The other attraction is that the classics between Nacional-Peñarol and Aguada-Goes, will be on the last date.
