It’s very simple, the teammates of LeBron James never seemed able to win an opposition, let alone dominate it. Beyond the lines of humor, it is true that the Californian level of performance is seriously worrying. No rhythm, half-mast defense, cascading injuries… The most pessimistic see a nightmare year brewing in the City of Angels. Coincidence or not, that was just what happened the last time the Purples and Golds were so bad in preparation. At the time, they had also just assembled a superteam… It’s cold in the back!

To give you an idea of the disaster that was that season, know that coach Mike D’Antoni replaced Mike Brown after barely 5 games, that Dwight Howard left after only one year and that the Mamba was. victim of a ruptured Achilles heel. The icing on the cake, the adventure ended in the first round (0-4 against Spurs). Suffice to say that this is not a good omen for LeBron & co…. It will therefore be imperative to rectify from the first days of competition.
Right now, Lakers fans need to keep their fingers crossed that their favorite team doesn’t crash like it did in 2012-13. This campaign had brought a long period of famine for the Angelinos, who do not want to relive it anytime soon!
