‘South Americans hinder integration of Wijnaldum at PSG’

8:34 – The French adventure of Georginio Wijnaldum is not yet a resounding success. The team thinks he knows why the thirty-year-old Dutch midfielder cannot really settle at Paris Saint-Germain for the time being.

The French sports newspaper writes that PSG’s South American contingent is hindering the integration of Wijnaldum. The players are said to be concerned about the competition that the Liverpool-born Wijnaldum poses to their Argentinian buddy Leandro Paredes. Both players can play in the same position.

The selection of Paris Saint-Germain has a lot of South American players. Marquinhos, Rafinha, ngel Di María, Mauro Icardi, Neymar and Lionel Messi, among others, come from the same continent as Paredes. Moreover, PSG has a lot of players under contract who speak Spanish or Portuguese.

Wijnaldum let slip during the last international match that he is not really happy at Paris Saint-Germain yet. The midfielder gets less time to play in the French capital than he had hoped. In all competitions, Wijnaldum has won in fourteen games so far. He was a regular player only six times.
