Terrible news …
David Brooks (24) has cancer of the lymph glands. The Welsh international announced on Wednesday on Twitter.
In a Twitter statement, the twelve-time national player wrote (one hit): “I was diagnosed with stage II Hodgkin lymphoma.” He will start treatment next week.
He continued: “I would like to thank everyone at the Welsh Football Association, because without the rapid support of the medical team we might not have discovered the disease. “
He is confident that he will make a full recovery and play again as soon as possible.

Brooks was with the Welsh national team on an international tour when the disease was diagnosed.
The Welshman plays in the English second division, the championship. In 2018 he moved from Sheffield United to Bournemouth for € 11m – and is still under contract there. The right winger has scored 18 times in 91 games for the club so far.
Hopefully again soon …
