KOMPAS.com – The World Anti -Doping Agency (WADA) has declared the Indonesian Anti -Doping Agency (LADI) as one of the three national anti -doping agencies (NADOs) that do not comply with the anti -doping code.

This causes Indonesia to receive sanctions that have an impact on the suspension of rights in the field of sports in the international arena.

One of the sanctions imposed was a ban on Indonesia flying the Red and White flag in Indonesia single event and multi-event internationally for a year.

Indonesia also cannot host regional, continental or international sports championships.

This news is different on social media, precisely on the Twitter account @theaseanball on Wednesday (20/10/2021).

Through his tweet, the account wrote that Indonesia and Thailand, which were also affected by the WADA sanctions, could not fly the country’s flag.

In more detail, the ban refers to event closest at a young age, namely the 2022 U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers.

The Indonesian U23 national team itself will face Australia in the 2023 Asian Cup Qualifiers on 27 and 30 October.

Regarding the news from the @theaseanball account, PSSI Acting Secretary General Yunus Nusi has provided a response.

Currently, Yunus Nusi said that PSSI is still waiting for a letter from the AFC or FIFA regarding whether or not the ban exists.

“Which is definitely deep match football between countries, the national anthem of each will be sung first,” said Yunus Nusi to KOMPAS.com, Thursday (21/10/2021).

“We are waiting for an official letter from the AFC or FIFA regarding the ban,” he added.

In addition to the 2022 U23 Asian Cup Qualification, this sanction also threatens the Indonesian national team to not be able to fly the Red and White in Indonesia event-event more football in the year ahead.
