Ronaldo completes Manchester United comeback against Atalanta | UEFA Champions League 2021/2022

Ronaldo, some call the Portuguese a poisoned gift for coach Solskjaer, has once again been the savior in Europe. In England it has been difficult for United in recent weeks, which only drew 1 in 9 from its last 3 matches. Pogba was the child of the 4-2 account in Leicester Saturday.

It didn’t look good for a long time, however, as Pasalic and Demiral put United with their backs against the wall at halftime.

But Ronaldo – who played his 300th game in the United shirt – turned the tide with his 3rd goal in as many European duels this season. Ten minutes before the end he buffed in a cross from Shaw with a great header to make it 3-2.

He was also the match winner against Villarreal (2-1), against Young Boys he also scored, but without points gain (2-1).

Solskjaer let Rashford start a match for the first time this season and he thanked him for his confidence early in the second half with the connecting goal after a great pass from Fernandes. United stormed forward and had chance after chance.

Captain Maguire, lost sight of, kicked in a far cross at the far post. Fifteen minutes before the end the signs were level again, but you could feel the climax hanging in the air. And that’s what Ronaldo took care of, again him. It was his 137th CL goal, which puts him in the lead in the CL top scorer standings with 14 more than rival Lionel Messi (123).

United now lead the group with 6 points, 2 points more than Villarreal, who defeated Young Boys 1-4, and Atalanta. YB counts 3 points.
