Recruiting the Champion Coach Rexy Mainaky, the Malaysian Badminton National Team is getting thicker with Red and White Nuances

BOLASPORT.COM – The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) has again recruited coaches from Indonesia to handle their senior national team players.

Rexy Mainaky who was the 1996 Atlanta Olympic champion with Ricky Subagja became BAM’s newest recruit.

In an official announcement on Monday (10/25/2021), BAM stated that Rexy Mainaky would serve as Deputy Director of Coaching.

Rexy specifically received instructions to monitor and improve the performance of players in the doubles sector.

Rexy will join four other Indonesian coaches who previously joined the senior Malaysian national team.

They are Hendrawan, Indra Widjaja, Flandy Limpele, and Paulus Firman. All four of them became the head coach of the sector.

Indra Widjaja is the head coach of the Malaysian women’s singles while Paulus Firman is the head coach of the mixed doubles.

Hendrawan as the head coach of the men’s singles managed to revive Lee Zii Jia’s achievements to win the 2021 All England Open.
