Bad news for France on the eve of the exciting Nations League final against Spain. Adrien Rabiot will miss the duel after testing positive for covid-19, which has forced him to put himself in solitary confinement, the French Federation (FFF) announced this Saturday.

The Juventus midfielder, to whom the loss of N’Golo Kanté, also due to coronavirus, had given the keys to ownership, underwent a test like the rest of his teammates and tested positive before the expedition of The ‘bleus’ started from Turin, where the French team played the second semifinal against Belgium on Thursday, to Milan, the scene of Sunday’s final at the legendary San Siro stadium. The rest of the components of the French team have tested negative.

Rabiot trained on Thursday with Paul Pogba in the engine room of the team coached by Didier Deschamps and on Friday he trained normally in Turin, a session in which the starters against Belgium performed individual exercises.

Everything indicates that the replacement for Rabiot in the Deschamps eleven will be Aurélien Tchouaméni, a young Monaco midfielder who already relieved the former Paris Saint-Germain in the final stretch of the match against the ‘red devils’, when France was still struggling to finish the extraordinary comeback that has allowed him to be in the final against Spain.

At 21, Tchouaméni, a footballer of great physical ability, has played four games with the French team, with which he made his debut on September 1 in the duel against Bosnia corresponding to the qualifying phase of the World Cup in Qatar. The Norman pivot is being one of the sensations this season in Ligue 1 and is already on the radar of some of the greats of Europe such as Liverpool or Juventus.
