Provisional Standings for XX Papua PON Medals Until Saturday 2 October: NTT Still Ranks 21

Jayapura, RNC – The following is the provisional standings for the medal list for the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) 2021 until Saturday (02/10/2021) at 06.00 WIT.

The position of the temporary standings continues to change as the number of medals that have been won from the XX Papua 2021 PON sports competition has increased. At least 13 provinces have won the 2021 PON XX Papua gold medal.

However, for now, the top three standings have not rotated. Currently the Province of the Special Capital Region (DKI) of Jakarta is still at the top of the standings with medals that are far from other provinces. Based on information on the official page of PON XX Papua 2021, DKI Jakarta has so far collected 28 gold medals.

Jakarta Capital City’s gold medals are still dominated by the sport (sports) of roller skating by contributing ten gold. Judo sport also gave a collection of four gold for DKI Jakarta. DKI Jakarta’s gold achievements were also obtained from Cricket and Wushu, each of which contributed two gold medals. One other gold medal was won by DKI Jakarta from the Water Polo Aquatic sport.

In addition, DKI Jakarta also won 15 silver and 20 bronze. So that DKI Jakarta has won a total of 63 medals. In general, these records have not been approached by any province.

Host Papua, who is in second place, is also quite far away in terms of medals. Papua has so far collected 17 gold, 5 silver and 13 bronze. As a result, Papua won a total of 35 medals.

This condition made the host, Papua shift, which previously occupied the top position and had to settle for second place in the standings.

For the third position, West Java (Jabar) is still trying to catch up with DKI Jakarta and Papua. West Java has won a total of 51 medals, with details of 11 gold, 15 silver and 25 bronze.

Although West Java collected the most total medals compared to Papua, the host was superior because it had a larger collection of gold medals.

In addition to DKI Jakarta, Papua and West Java, there are the provinces of East Java and Bali which are ranked fourth and fifth. East Java and Bali are chasing each other to collect gold collections.

Currently, East Java, which is in fourth place, has won a total of 34 medals with details of 11 gold, 15 silver and 8 bronze.

While Bali with a total of 17 medals, including 7 gold, 4 silver, and 7 bronze. As for Riau, which is just below Bali, it has added to its medal collection with 4 gold and 3 silver and 1 bronze.

In addition, East Kalimantan, West Sumatra, Southeast Sulawesi, West Kalimantan, Aceh and West Nusa Tenggara have each pocketed one gold medal.

Several other provinces have so far won silver and bronze medals. So far, NTT has only collected 1 medal, namely a silver medal from the cricket category in the super eight men category after losing in the final to the DKI Jakarta team.
