Ostapenko retains 30th place in the WTA rank, but Sevastova fall – Tennis

In the first round of the Moscow “WTA 500” tournament, Ostapenko withdrew from the competition in the third set.

Latvia’s third racket Daniela Vismane retained 314th place, Diāna Marcinkēviča retreated by three places (354th), Kamilla Bartone retained 393rd position, Darya Semenistista climbed by 38th place (543rd), but Sabine Rutlauka lost nine positions (916th).

Margarita Ignatjeva (1031) fell by eight positions, while Patricia Špaka (1078) is 11 places lower than a week ago, Anna Ozerova (1171) has retired ten, Elza Tomase (1183) has lost eight places, and Līga Dekmeijer has risen by 25 places (1291).

The top ten has remained unchanged – first place is Ashley Barthy, an Australian, followed by Arina Sabalenko from Belarus and Karoline Plishkova and Barbora Krejchikova from the Czech Republic, Garvinje Mugurusa from Spain, Benjani Switolina from Ukraine, Osaka from Ukraine and Marija Sakari from Greece.

Last week, Estonian Anete Kontaveita won the final of the Moscow “WTA 500” tournament, winning the fourth title in her career. The Estonian has risen by six places and now occupies the 14th position. In the WTA 250 tournament in Tenerife, the American Anna Li won, who has risen 12 places to 48th place.

In the ranking of doubles, Ostapenko, who in a duet with the Czech Katerina Sinjakov won the final of the doubles competition of the Moscow “WTA 500” tournament, has risen to the 23rd place by eight places. Marcinkēvičs improved his performance by 45 places (276), Vismane resigned by four positions (347). Bartone (577) resigned for three places, Sevastova (612) lost six places, and Semenista (740) rose for 35 places. Both Ignatjeva (988) and Špaka (993) lost seven positions, Dekmeijere resigned by five places (1085), and Rutlauka – by 14 (1664).
