On fire, Tyler Herro slams a performance more seen since LeBron James 10 years ago!

Disappointing last year, Tyler Herro decided to start the season with a bang. He was particularly successful in the preparation phase, joining LeBron James in the history of the Heat! If that is not an announcement on his level of play …

Ambitious for 2021-22, the Heat are counting on their players to be in superb shape, in particular Tyler Herro. The young back did not have the explosion hoped for during his sophomore season, thus receiving a lot of criticism. The former Kentucky, however, had promised to make up for it this year, and it was starting as early as the preseason. And so far, he keeps his word!

Indeed, Herro was a hit during the preparation phase of his franchise, chaining the big scoring outings. During the last Miami game, which took place against Boston, he also largely participated in the great victory of his family (121-100), scoring nearly thirty points. Above all, it is its regularity that commands respect. It thus equaled a performance that South Beach had not seen for 10 years!

Tyler Herro joins LeBron among Heat’s top scorers in preseason

Tyler Herro scored 29 points tonight against the Celtics, bringing his preseason points average to 22.4 points.

This is the highest points-per-game average in a single preseason by a Heat player since LeBron James in 2011.

At the time, the King and the Floridians were just recovering from the debacle in the Finals against the Mavs, and had attacked the 2011-12 exercise with foot to the floor. To a lesser extent, the scenario for this season is similar, with the Heat coming out in the first round of the playoffs in 2020-21. We therefore wish the men of Erik Spoelstra to experience similar success to their elders, since the latter had ended up lifting the title a few months later.

Regarding Herro, this is obviously excellent news and his team are hoping that he can transpose this to the floors of the regular campaign. It is even more the case that he did not hesitate to put himself under pressure, by comparing himself squarely to Luka Doncic. Not necessarily the simplest lyrics to assume, but the guy has the talent to do a lot of damage in attack. It remains to be shown over time.

Tyler Herro has been on fire over the preparation, and great things can be expected in the months to come. He has the potential to become one of the faces of Miami’s future, it’s up to him to seize the opportunity!
