Olympic Games> Mahut (concerning the 2024 Games in Paris): “I am not closing the door on anything, but I am very careful”

Nicolas Mahut gave us an interview in issue 78 of We Love Tennis Magazine. This interview was placed in the Guest Star section because the Angenvin evokes his involvement in the WTA tournament which will be organized in December in the capital of Anjou.

We also took the opportunity to ask him about the rest of his career and in particular the possibility of continuing his career until 2024 for the Olympic Games in Paris.

« I do not close the door on anything, but I am very careful. I am aware of the efforts to be made and I know the investment that this represents at my age to remain efficient. The pivotal year will be next year. I am going to play the 2022 season to the fullest; that is a certainty. With Pierre‐ Hugues [Herbert, ndlr], we try to plan the best possible schedule because he’s going to want to restart in singles so it’s not easy to combine to make a good program. We will try to agree. Subsequently, it is clear that if 2022 goes well, that I have no physical problems and that I still have a good ranking, it will be quite easy to plan for Paris 2024 because there will only be ten -eight months. Over a tennis career, a year and a half, it goes quite quickly. The reflection will really take place during and especially at the end of the year 2022
