Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini canceled their eagerly awaited double participation in the Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells a few hours before their first appearance.

What many fans had been looking forward to for a long time has now fallen into the water: As it became known on Friday evening, Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini will not compete in Indian Wells for their first-round match against Kevin Krawietz and Horia Tecau. As leaked from California, Berrettini’s neck problems are said to be responsible for the cancellation. It is therefore certain that Sinner cannot collect any match practice before his first round game against Jack Sock or John Millman.
