Nikola Jokic slammed his knee into Rudy Gobert

Denver Nuggets center and current NBA MVP Nikola Jokic left Tuesday’s game against the Utah Jazz in the second quarter after hitting his knees with Rudy Gobert.

Jokic was defending an attack on the French player’s basket when the knees of both centers hit.

Initially the Denver team said their big star had a chance to return to the court, but then they ruled him out for the rest of the engagement. Coach Mike Malone delivered reassuring words after the game, saying the team does not consider the injury to be serious.

The Serbian won the MVP last season thanks to his averages of 26.4 points, 10.8 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.3 steals in 72 games.
