Next ÖFB bankruptcy: Now captain Alaba speaks – football

The ÖFB team lost 0-1 in Denmark. Even the minimum goal of second World Cup qualification is impossible. This is what Captain David Alaba says about it.

Austrian football crisis! The ÖFB team suffered the next defeat in the World Cup qualification in Copenhagen on Tuesday evening. First place was already out of reach. Now the minimum goal of second place is also out of reach.

Austria lost twice to Denmark, slipped into a debacle in Israel and failed to beat Scotland in two attempts. The only victories come against the football dwarfs Faroe Islands and Moldova. On Tuesday evening, team boss Franco Foda’s selection did not even record a single shot on goal.

Even captain David Alaba could not convince. The Real Legionnaire acted as a left back. Like his colleagues in the back team, he was not up to the pressure of the Danes. Austria had major problems building up and repeatedly lost the ball unnecessarily.

The star is now speaking one day after the bankruptcy. Alaba on Twitter: “The defeat yesterday was a disappointment. Together we wanted more in this World Cup qualifying. We wanted to get one of the first two places in our group, but unfortunately we didn’t make it.”

The Viennese continued: “We have to improve, develop. And then we will fight to participate in the World Cup until our last chance. Our goal remains the same: We will continue to try everything to lead our country to this tournament.”
